# RangeMark

> RangeMark is a passive visual marker system that enables drones and remote systems to detect and identify marked objects and locations from extreme distances. Marker detection has been demonstrated at distances up to 500 m. RangeMark is a Sodyo Technology, built on Sodyo's patented visual code technology (30+ global patents, IP priority back to 2012).

## What RangeMark does

RangeMark markers are passive, printed or placed physical markers. They emit no RF, use no battery, require no network connectivity, and are unaffected by GPS availability. A drone or remote system detects the marker in its visual field, decodes it, and returns a deterministic verification result confirming the specific marked object or location.

RangeMark separates two operations:
1. Detection — locate the marker at distance
2. Identification — decode the marker and resolve it to a unique machine-readable identity
